hiya all,

Is there and way that you can add a scan of calibration certificate and add it to the calibration tab.

We are trying to reduce the amount of paperwork around the office and this would be a good way of reducing it.

Plus the cert would be on file linked to the item for when auditors are round.

cheers

Yes, scanned images as pdf, jpg, gif and Word documents are amongst the formats that can be viewed on the calibration tab.

Set the file locations for the activity 1 certificates in the system administration. Then when recording the calibration click the browse button to find the certificate file and click confirm. The file name is displayed in the reference box. Click save to save the calibration record.

In a similar way you may set up links for images of gauges on the Asset Tab and links to calibration certificates on the management Tab.

celia,

Many thanks have tried this and it works.

Only problem is what happens when the certificate is more than one page.

As a2z will only show the first page, and in most cases our certs can be 2-3 pages long.

This also happens when we view our calibration procedures through a2z, only the first page is displayed.

If you double click on the image you will open the application (in this case Adobe Reader). You will then see all the pages.

celia,

When you enter the certificate file in the reference box, does it only pickup the folder that you have specified in the file locations tab.

As i want to add some calibration reports, but these are kept in a different location on the network.

And when i add it to the reference box, then click view, it returns "file not found".

cheers

The A2Z Manager needs to look in a single folder for all the calibration certificates. If you need to manage these files in separate folders you must ensure that a copy is kept in the folder allocated within A2Z.
